Recommended profile
a) It is recommended to be in possession of the Official Master's Degree in Business Economics Research or the new Master's Degree in Business Administration and Economics Research or another official EHEA university Master's Degree with a research profile, corresponding to business subjects and with a similar profile to this Master's Degree in Research. Students who do not hold a master's degree but who have 60 ECTS credits in an official master's degree in business may be admitted provided that the Academic Committee of the Doctorate in Business Economics considers that they cover the compulsory subjects of the Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics and that they have optional credits appropriate to the specialisation profiles in business.
b) The admission of students with official master's degrees in related subjects, such as economics, statistics, organisational engineering, among others, would be advisable to the extent that, in the opinion of the Academic Committee, when required, the training deficiencies can be adequately covered from the training complements that it is reasonable to carry out in the doctorate to achieve the training profile in the foreseen time. We consider that a diversity of Master's degrees available for new students entering the DP may be adequate to enrich the scientific production in the same.
c) As a support for those who began their research training under other regulations that have already been repealed, we consider that those who hold the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in our former inter-university Doctorate Programme New Trends in Business Management (universities of Salamanca, Valladolid and Burgos) or another programme that corresponds to business subjects, with a similar quality recognition to that degree in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 778/1998, are on an equal footing.
d) Admission is also considered appropriate for candidates who hold a foreign Master's Degree (from countries outside the EHEA) in business subjects recognised in Spain, with a quality similar to that of the Master's Degree in Business Administration and Economics. The same criterion will be applied to students with foreign degrees considered equivalent by the universities responsible for this Doctoral Degree. The admission of students with foreign official master's degrees in related subjects, such as economics, statistics, organisational engineering, among others, will be made to the extent that, in the opinion of the Academic Committee, when so required, the training deficiencies can be adequately covered from the training complements that it is reasonable to carry out in the doctorate.
Based on the verification of compliance with these minimum criteria, applications will be selected according to the following assessment criteria:
